The set includes a round glass-top dining table and four matching armchairs featuring elegant Directoire-style silhouettes, gracefully curved caned backs, rich cognac burnt umber suede leather seat cushions, and McGuire's unique bamboo frames. The exposed joinery and leather-wrapped details exemplify the meticulous craftsmanship that established McGuire as one of America's premier luxury furniture makers. Today, McGuire's tradition continues under the "Baker Furniture" company.

This set is ideal for a breakfast table, game table, sunroom dining set, or intimate dining arrangement. The Chairs are labeled with the McGuire brass tag under set in back. The table is unsigned, as standard for most McGuire's "bamboo only" designs. This collection comes from a prominent Houston family who owned a well-known Houston art gallery and were avid art collectors and conservators. Each McGuire piece in their collection was hand selected for their private residence and purchased through McGuire's trade program. This piece, along with many others in the collection, was acquired directly from McGuire through the family's gallery.
