The Guest Bedroom — The Bed.
A beautiful place to settle in for the night.
Ethan Allen Townhouse Collection four-drawer chest featuring richly figured ash burl veneers and a dark marble top. Influenced by Louis Philippe and traditional French furniture, the chest offers clean lines, paneled sides, molded trim, antiqued brass-tone knobs, and a molded plinth base. This chest has four drawers, including a concealed upper drawer beneath the molded frieze, with quality dovetailed drawer construction throughout. The durable marble top makes this piece equally suited for use as a bedroom chest, entry chest, dining room storage cabinet, or living room accent.
JUNE'S THOUGHTS
For a guest room, I particularly like using a small chest rather than an ordinary nightstand. It gives a guest all the bedside surface they need, but the drawers also provide real clothing storage — especially thoughtful when family or friends are staying for an extended visit.
And this one brings something more to the room. The ash burl has wonderful movement, with every drawer showing a slightly different pattern in the grain. Paired with the dark marble top, it feels substantial and special without overwhelming the bed.
