This specific hourglass-like shape-featuring a wide bulbous base, narrow neck, and a wide, cup-like rim—is designed specifically as a bulb forcing vase. The cup cradles a plant bulb (such as a hyacinth or crocus) just above the water level so the roots grow downward into the water without rotting the bulb itself.

It features a rich cobalt blue tint with a subtle vertical optic swirl or ribbed pattern embedded within the glass.

The Vase is in Very Good preloved condition with no major imperfections like chips, cracks or repairs. There are a couple of minor scratches as a result of age and normal use.

The Vase measures 5 5/8” Tall x 4 1/2” Wide at the large base. The mouth measures 2 7/8” Wide. It weighs 11.89 ounces or 337 grams. See less
