Authentic and beautifully preserved Sarreguemines majolica elephant pitcher, model 4470, crafted in France around the turn of the 20th century. This charming figural pitcher features a seated elephant with a raised trunk forming the spout and a sturdy handle integrated into the back.
The piece displays Sarreguemines’ signature glossy crackle glaze, with excellent sculptural detail in the face, trunk, and ears. The underside is fully marked with:

– Model number 4470
– Glaze code C31
– Hand‑applied decorator’s mark
