Circa 1800 American walnut tavern pipe stand.
The central piece of the stand is elegantly hand turned and has a hand made brass collar, which has three holes in which to place a long tavern pipe, which was in fashion at that time in history. The base is hand turned in a dish style, and is lined with brass as well to keep the hot pipes from burning the wood base. The turning of the base is lovely and is supported on three hand made brass feet.
This is a handsome piece and is perfect for showcasing American history in any home or office.
