A rare sculptural ceramic tealight lantern by Carstens Tönnieshof.
This distinctive piece combines atmospheric lighting with organic ceramic craftsmanship. The perforated body creates beautiful light patterns when illuminated, while the earthy brown glaze and rounded silhouette give the object a strong sculptural presence even when unlit.
Typical of the experimental West German ceramic movement of the 1970s, this lantern reflects the period’s fascination with natural forms, texture and handmade production.
A wonderful decorative object for collectors of studio pottery, brutalist ceramics and Scandinavian-inspired interiors. This piece has an attribution mark,
