An exceptional late 20th century French Louis XV silvered giltwood mirror with richly carved Rococo detailing and a beautifully aged finish. The dramatic mirrored crest, scrolling acanthus motifs, and warm time-softened gilding give the piece a distinctly collected European character.
Its proportions make it especially versatile — substantial enough for an entry hall, powder room, or over a console, yet refined enough to layer effortlessly into an English country house or Palm Beach-inspired interior. The soft mirror plate adds depth and atmosphere without feeling overly formal.
The carving throughout is expressive and architectural, with a wonderful sense of movement that feels both elegant and relaxed. A piece that instantly gives a room warmth, scale, and history.
