Charming, comfortable Hitchcock oak rocking chair. Purchased in Hitchcocksville (now Riverton) CT from the revived Hitchcock Chair Company. Original gold stenciling of fruit is prominent and is stamped by the maker on the top back rail. Arrowback spindles.
Date stamp under the seat displays May 1988. Purchased as our first child was born and rocked all three children in this lovely piece. It still has years of rocking ahead and would be a lovely addition to your colonial home.
