The thick single … Read more An impressive bank of oak drawers that would have been the base for a substantial Georgian dresser. The thick single plank oak top with a gently over sailing moulded reeded edge with an arrangement of drawers beneath. A central bank of four smaller drawers is flanked by two larger banks all with original ash drawer linings. The smooth running drawers feature brass escutcheons and a pair of original turned knobs to each. The bank of drawers has oak panelled sides and the original oak panelled back supported by a moulded frieze and substantial bracket feet. The cabinet has a rich soulful colour and beautiful patina along with many original features. The drawers would be the statement feature of any home. English, circa 1800. See less
