A stunning pair of antique bentwood cafe chairs by Fischel, the celebrated Bohemian manufacturer and peer of Thonet. Dating to the early 20th century, these chairs showcase the hallmarks that have made Fischel pieces enduringly collectible: gracefully steam-bent beechwood frames, elegantly looping interlaced back rails, and the brand’s signature embossed floral round seats. Original Fischel maker’s label on underside.
The dark walnut-toned frames have been cleaned and restored to bring out the wood’s natural warmth while honoring their century-plus of character.
