The composition is beautifully balanced, with architectural ruins and village structures set within lush foliage, creating the pastoral elegance associated with fine 18th Century French tapestry work.
Woven in a soft palette of muted blues, greens, taupe, ivory, and warm brown tones, the tapestry has a wonderfully timeworn surface and decorative presence.
