A beautifully modeled antique Amphora vase produced by RStK (Reissner, Stellmacher & Kessel) and dating to approximately 1900.
This elegant Art Nouveau pottery example features applied berries and foliage, a flowing sculptural form, and a sophisticated matte palette of cream, blush pink, olive green, and warm brown. The organic design reflects the movement's fascination with nature and demonstrates the artistry for which Amphora became internationally recognized.
The vase possesses an especially appealing silhouette with its asymmetrical opening, dimensional fruit decoration, and graceful flowing contours. Rich surface modeling and subtle color transitions create visual interest from every angle.
The underside retains impressed factory markings and its original dark unglazed base. The darkened foot and natural patina are consistent with authentic antique Amphora production and contribute significantly to the piece's remarkable character and age.
A striking cabinet-sized example of Austrian Art Nouveau pottery suitable for collectors and sophisticated interiors alike.
