The rim features a dense, raised garland of polychrome fruit — lemons, oranges, pears, plums, pinecones, and leaves — encircling a deep cobalt-blue center medallion decorated with a relief branch of white blossoms and a yellow ribbon motif. The reverse shows an unglazed red earthenware body with a hand-applied white slip, a wire hanging loop, and a painted "Italy" mark, consistent with mid-to-late 20th century Italian decorative pottery made for the export/decorator market. A bold statement piece for a kitchen, garden room, or gallery wall. See less
