A … Read more Mid-Century Modern Salton “Hotray Hotable” rolling bar cart / automatic food warmer with teak accents and patterned warming surface. A very Space Age take on the classic serving cart — equal parts bar cart, hostess station, and conversation piece. The heated top was designed to keep hors d’oeuvres and dishes warm while entertaining, which makes it feel especially tied to that optimistic late-’60s/early-’70s idea of “modern living.”

The aluminum frame is softened by the teak handles and lower teak shelf, while the graphic concentric-line warming surface gives it that distinctly futuristic Salton look. Still on its original casters and surprisingly sculptural from every angle. One of those pieces that feels just as good styled with glassware and records as it does actually in use. Makers mark under table top.
