The calcite crystals are heavily included with hematite, giving the piece a dramatic, opaque presence rather than the typical translucent appearance associated with calcite.

The specimen is formed by interlocking geometric rhombohedrons with a subtle microcrystalline overgrowth across the dark faces. In changing light, this secondary mineral texture creates a quiet crystalline shimmer against the otherwise heavy, monolithic structure.

Its compact but substantial scale makes it suitable as a shelf sculpture, desk object, console accent, coffee table piece, credenza detail, or collectible mineral display.
