A beautiful antique Japanese Imari porcelain saucer dish dating to the late Meiji period, hand decorated in vibrant cobalt blue, iron red, and gilt enamels.
The center features a stylized Ho-o (Phoenix) medallion surrounded by geometric borders, floral reserves, and traditional auspicious motifs rendered in the classic Imari palette. Rich cobalt blue panels contrast beautifully with delicate gilt detailing and finely painted iron-red ornamentation.
Its softly lobed form and jewel-like coloration make it an exceptional display piece despite its modest scale. Whether displayed on a stand, incorporated into a cabinet collection, or used as part of a decorative tabletop arrangement, the piece offers remarkable visual impact and craftsmanship.
