A beautiful and elegant antique Edwardian inlaid kidney shaped desk. This was made in England, it dates from the 1900-1910 period.
The quality is superb, this is very well made and it is a useful size. It is nicely polished on all sides, so can be used as a free standing item. The inset leather top is hand coloured and gold tooled, with lovely inlaid sunburst patterns on either side. The drawer fronts are cross-banded with satinwood and have wonderful brass handles. The legs are beautifully tapered, and are connected by nicely curved stretchers for stability.
We have recently had this re-polished, it is in excellent condition for its age.
