A fine Gainsborough library armchair or lounge chair upholstered in patinated leather from England - featuring a high back, open sides and shaped arms, with wide comfortable seat, on a mahogany stretcher.
The leather upholstery with brass nail-head trim around the borders and deep button-tufting (Chesterfield style) covering the high back-rest and seat cushion.
Padded leather arm-pads rest on curved, polished wooden supports that sweep down to the seat base.
The straight, square wooden legs are connected by a H-shaped stretcher system for added stability.
