This is technically kinetic art because the fish are hinged and mounted to the textile in a way that allows them to be touched and move. The fish (sardines?) are sewn onto a deep green, soft chenille fabric, and invite the viewer to reach out and experience them. Each is hinged and playfully "wiggles". A graphic punchy piece for a variety of spaces, young and old, formal and casual. It would be great in a gallery wall, yet can hold its own as a singular piece. It would be fun in a bedroom with two twin beds that are separated by a low chest of drawers, if it was hung above the chest.
