A handsome pair of Stickley armchairs crafted in quarter-sawn oak with clean architectural lines inspired by the American Arts & Crafts tradition. The chairs feature generously proportioned upholstered backs and seats, sculptural curved arm supports, and beautifully figured oak frames displaying attractive ray fleck throughout.
Their refined design bridges traditional Mission influences and a more transitional aesthetic, allowing them to work comfortably in Arts & Crafts, Traditional, Transitional, and Contemporary interiors alike. Equally suitable as dining captains' chairs, desk chairs, library seating, or occasional chairs. Both chairs retain the branded Stickley mark.

Good vintage condition. Upholstery displays light scattered soiling and a few faint marks consistent with normal use that should respond well to professional cleaning. Quarter-sawn oak frames present beautifully with attractive ray fleck figuring and minor surface wear from use, including light scuffs and a chip to the back corner of one chair. You can see this in photo two on the upper back corner of the front chair. Structurally sound and ready for everyday use.
