Hand-thrown stoneware vase with softly rounded form and expressive flamed glaze in deep brown with flowing blue top and vertical brush-like streaks in a Jugend-inspired aesthetic. Unique artisan-made example. Origin: Denmark, Roskilde Lervarefabrik. Material: Ceramic. Dimensions: H. 16 cm, D. 12 cm. Period: 1920s/30s. Condition: Very good condition with minor signs of use. Roskilde Lervarefabrik was a notable Danish pottery on Zealand in the early 20th century, recognised for its hand-thrown and individually decorated pieces reflecting the Nordic interpretation of the Jugend / Art Nouveau aesthetic.
