Lid veneered in … Read more Octagonal (eight-sided) Bauhaus / Art Deco Box from Austria, Vienna, circa 1920. Sides in solid ash wood. Lid veneered in walnut with star inlay in maple and mahogany. Base slightly projecting with rounded, ebonized edge. Standing on eight round brass balls at the bottom. Lined inside with dark blue velvet and cord trim. An oval mirror in the center of the lid’s interior. Original brass lock, hinges, and small hardware. 2 keys included. Refinished, hand-polished with shellac.
