Founded in Bohemia at the end of the 19th century, Fischel was one of Thonet's main competitors in the world of bentwood furniture. Both manufacturers played a significant role in revolutionizing European furniture thanks to industrial steam-bending techniques for beechwood.

While Thonet remains the most famous name, Fischel distinguished itself with a production that was often more refined, featuring more decorative lines, particularly appreciated during the Art Nouveau and Vienna Secession periods.

Magnificent pair of Art Nouveau armchairs stamped Fischel, fully restored.

The bentwood frames have been refinished, sanded, stained, and waxed. The upholstery has been redone with a powder pink velvet combined with an exclusive fabric of my own graphic design, printed especially for these armchairs. Each piece is therefore unique.

The design of the armrests and the elegant curves of the legs are reminiscent of the golden age of early 20th-century Austro-Hungarian furniture.
