Product number: h-269
this armchair is another gorgeous exemplar of the absolute icon and undisputedly most famous and highly sought-after design by the legendary designer jindřich halabala. This catalogue model h-269 was designed in the 1930s in czechoslovakia for the renowned up závody and represents the ultimate peak of interwar art deco and organic modernism. Its architectural fluid shape and dramatic lines have earned it global acclaim among collectors and design enthusiasts alike.
the defining feature of the chair lies in its generous, dynamically sculpted armrests made of solid bentwood beech, which seamlessly sweep down to form the base, establishing the chair's striking silhouette. During a meticulous and comprehensive restoration, the wooden frame was finished in a very dark brown lacquer that subtly allows the natural grain and texture of the wood to peek through. The surface is executed in a luxurious high-gloss luster, adding depth, extraordinary elegance, and prestige to the iconic form.
the piece has undergone a complete internal reconstruction, receiving new professional upholstery from the frame up. A premium upholstery fabric in a beautiful salmon color was selected for the cover. This warm, sophisticated shade creates a stunning, harmonious contrast with the dark tone of the bentwood frame, lending this historic statement piece a timeless, fresh appeal. This masterfully restored armchair offers exceptional ergonomic comfort and stands as an exclusive investment item that will instantly elevate any stylish interior.
it has been re-polished with polyutherane piano lacquer by our professional refurbishing team in czechia according to the original process.
