These glazed stoneware pots were used for preserving and fermenting food. Salted turnips, sauerkraut, and cured meats could be prepared in them. Imposing and thick-walled, they allowed for the slow maturation of food. Now with a hole drilled in the bottom, the jar can be transformed into a bohemian planter or a large cachepot.
The body is made of glazed stoneware. It is earth-brown. It is of German origin. The pot is in very good condition, with a capacity of 30 liters. The manufacturer's markings are visible. It has been drilled in the bottom to become a planter.
