Silvi model dressing table (makeup cabinet), designed by studio kastilia (produced by fainini fain) in italy in the early 1970s.
the piece features a space age cylindrical "metamorphic" design, exceptional for optimizing space: the matching chair on casters fits inside the main structure, disappearing completely when not in use.
the frame is made of ivory/cream molded abs. The top opens with a drop-down mechanism, featuring a large round tilting mirror (refurbished) and removable internal compartments for makeup and other accessories. The matching arched chair features the original blue velvet upholstery. Both the frame and chair have working casters.
the dressing table is in good condition, compact and functional, with signs of wear consistent with age and use.
