The three-layer image is composed of two glass layers and a third background surface. The outer glass is printed with a framing mat with a masonry design at the lower edge. The middle layer is printed with neoclassical imagery of horse riders and horsemen walking their horses. Both prints are hand-tinted in pale color on black and white images. The back layer is a sky image in pale blue. The three layers present a 2 " deep shadow box play of shadows inside the box. In total, a concept to animate the light and play of shadows moving in the scene. in a dioramic frame. Designed for left and right movements.
The condition is very good. The image is in the original giltwood frame with heavy construction. The size is 10"tall by 20".
