The piece features a … Read more A vintage studio pottery vase produced by Lapid Pottery in Israel during the 1960s or 1970s. The piece features a bulbous silhouette with a short, flared neck. The exterior is finished in a textured, volcanic "splat lava" glaze combination, where a thick, cratered cream-and-brown drip glaze overlays a smooth, dark chocolate, nearly black base.

The underside bears the teal company backstamp reading "LAPID MADE IN ISRAEL" along with the hand-painted artist monogram "F", identifying the decorator as Fiby.

Based on the aesthetic markers, manufacturing techniques, and company timeline, this vase was produced between 1968 and 1975.
