Beautiful vintage Japanese four-panel folding screen (byōbu) featuring an elegant hand-painted autumn scene of ripening persimmons on graceful branches with a small blue songbird perched among the foliage. Condition:
Overall very good original vintage condition. The painted front presents beautifully with only light age-related wear consistent with age and use. There is one small hole in the backing on the reverse side (shown in photos), which does not penetrate visibly to the decorated front and does not detract from the display appearance of the screen.
