A striking peacock and egret are rendered in richly layered materials, creating exceptional depth, texture, and visual interest. Treasures!

These dimensional works combine crushed stone, sequins, metallic braid, beads, molded elements, faceted jewel accents, and sculptural feather details to produce shimmering surfaces and a remarkable sense of movement.

The peacock's dramatic tail and the elegant stance of the egret create a balanced composition that feels both whimsical and sophisticated. A period-perfect palette of ivory, gold, bronze, black, amber and mossy green tones complements side rails that appear to be teak or mahogany.

The pair create a striking, eye-catching statement for a Palm Springs/Palm Beach interior, Hollywood Regency setting, eclectic gallery wall, sunroom, garden room, or any space that embraces vintage glamour and mid-century character.

Likely assembled from a vintage Picturesque decorative art kit: part of a popular mid-century movement that transformed crushed stone, beads, metallic trim, sequins, and other materials into richly textured dimensional wall art. The intricate layering of materials and sculptural construction give these pieces the presence of wall sculpture rather than traditional flat artwork. See less
