Antique English oak stacking lawyers or barrister bookcase, c.1900.
Made by Kenrick and Jefferson, Birmingham, England. There are six modular stackable sections. A base, four glass fronted sections and a top cap section. All stack securely one on top of the other. The hinged glass doors lift and slide smoothly to reveal plenty of storage space and protect books from dust. The bottom two sections are a little deeper and taller than the top two sections. The bottom sections have an interior 9” deep by 32” wide by 10” high. The top two sections have an interior of 8” deep by 32” wide by 8” high. Good overall condition with age and use wear. Recently waxed and polished.
