Vintage GERZ West Germany ceramic beer stein with hinged pewter lid, richly decorated in raised relief with a medieval Landsknecht tavern scene.
This substantial 9.5-inch stein features architectural castle-style detailing, vivid cobalt glaze accents, and traditional German figural imagery. The underside bears the GERZ / W. Germany mark.
A wonderful decorative piece for European, Old World, tavern, library, study, lodge, or breweriana interiors.
The hinged pewter lid remains attached and functional.
