This vintage four-panel folding screen showcases a black lacquer ground with raised soapstone inlay depicting auspicious figures, cranes, birds, pine trees, blossoms, bamboo, clouds, rocks, and vessel medallions. The front displays a figural landscape scene with gilt border decoration, while the reverse includes painted botanical panels with birds, bamboo, and floral motifs. Brass-tone hinges and capped feet complete the paneled form. The upper inscription reads “福寿延年,” an auspicious phrase associated with blessings and longevity.
