Handcrafted from solid oak, this box is intricately hand carved to the finest detail with foliate leaf detailing and acanthus scrollwork throughout. Top of lid displays a high relief geometric shape and floral motif that opens to a large drop interior originally used to house letters and documents, jewelry and other various items. In good condition with signs consistent with age and use.
