Each images has actually been printed onto oversized, extra thick felt. We discovered these pieces unframed and without provenance, but fell in love with their literal softness and the way the artist chose to print hard edged materials on such a soft textile. The subject appears to be cubes of stone, like a travertine, which itself has a heavily textured surface. The juxtaposition of the softness of the felt and the hardness of the stone imagery is such a powerful contrast, yet keeps these two pieces in perfect harmony. They each feature theatrical lighting and movement.

Frames are vintage and have been repurposed for the artwork. Frames show scuffing to several areas, but do suit the artwork nicely. Art shows light surface wear including a few pin pricks and light discoloration to areas. See less
