Both vases are signed … Read more Offering a rare pair of vintage porcelain vases crafted by the renowned Bavarian German manufacturer, Tirschenreuth. Both vases are signed with the P.T. Bavaria Tirschenreuth crown and coat of arms, dating these sophisticated vases from 1903 to 1940. Most likely they were made during the Art Deco period of the 1930s.

Both porcelain vases have a beige/off-white background with lovely colorful exotic birds and metallic silver rims and bases. The pair of birds depicted on the right vase are golden pheasants. and there is also a smaller golden pheasant on the back of that particular vase. The bird on the left vase is a bird of paradise and on the back of that vase there is a branch with leaves and red fruit. The vases are not identical but definitely manufactured as a matching pair.

VERY GOOD VINTAGE CONDITION. There is metallic SILVER LOSS AND TARNISHING to the rims and bases, common with metallic silver glazes from this era. Keep in mind these are almost 100 years old and represent very well considering their age. The new owner will be very happy about their condition.

Tirschenreuth is a renowned manufacturer based in Bavaria, Germany. Tirschenreuth has a rich history of producing elegant porcelain wares, often appreciated for their artistry and durability. The factory was established by Heinrich Eichhorn in the 1830s. "PT Bavaria Tirschenreuth" mark features a crown and a shield enclosing the letters P. T. (Porzellanfabrik Tirschenreuth) and was used from around 1903 onwards and can be found on pieces made as late as the 1940s. See less
