These mid-century end tables … Read more A French pair of black two-tiered end tables, with single drawer, from the mid 20th century. These mid-century end tables from France have rectangular-shaped tops with a lip about the perimeter and glass inserts set within (there are bumper pads under the glass for protection). The top is floated on four curvy risers above a secondary shelf below which has a deep apron that houses a single drawer, hidden within the frieze at one side, and has a scallop carved skirt along all sides. The four curvy legs mimic the upper posts and adds to the fluidity of this piece. The black painted finish is older, but not original to these pieces. Note that there are some areas of paint loss. These mid century French two-tier tables, with their scalloped skirting along all sides, are a great option if you are looking for a something that could be floated within a room. See less
