This antique accent table from Italy features a rectangular-shaped top decorated with veneers and inlays in a geometric pattern with star center. It rests atop a recessed apron which houses a small drawer at one side. This piece is presented on four elegantly curved legs that project outwardly at the knees just beneath the apron, have c-scroll carvings down their sides, and terminate into volute carved feet. Curvy x-stretchers brace the legs just above the feet. The top of this table is removable for easier transport and staging. Note that the veneer is thick and does not lay perfectly flat, and one corner has some old damage. This 18th century Italian table accent table offers endless functionality throughout the home.
