The combination of … Read more This original Gavina Cesca cantilever chair in brown leather is an exceptional example of classic mid-century design. The combination of chromed tubular steel, the clean lines of the cantilever design, and the high-quality leather upholstery gives the chair its timeless elegance and characteristic Bauhaus aesthetic.

Gavina held the licensing rights for these models in the 1960s and was significantly involved in their production before Knoll took over at the end of the decade. As a result, early Gavina examples are now among the most sought-after by collectors.

The original sticker label on the underside has fallen off over the years, but the construction, choice of materials, and workmanship clearly correspond to an original Gavina production from this period.

The condition is like new. The leather is very well-maintained and shows no significant signs of wear. The chrome frame is also in very good condition with only minimal signs of age.
