A Hollywood Regency table lamp by the Belgian maker Deknudt, crafted around 1980 and featuring a dramatic sculptural eagle as its central motif. This piece captures the glamour, theatricality, and bold decorative language that define the Hollywood Regency style, blending opulence with a touch of fantasy.
The finely detailed eagle; cast in a warm, gilded tone, spreads its wings in a dynamic, upward movement, giving the lamp a sense of power and elegance. Above it sits an ornate metal structure supporting the shade, adding further decorative richness. The combination of sculptural presence, refined metalwork, and warm illumination makes this lamp as much an artwork as a functional lighting object.
Deknudt, known for its expressive and high‑quality decorative pieces, created lamps that have become increasingly collectible. This example stands out for its craftsmanship, scale, and unmistakable 1980s glamour.
