Johnny Friedlaender (Poland/Germany/France 1912-1992). A very good, modernist etching by a very well known and influential artist from the mid 20th century. Friedlaender had a very interesting and somewhat tragic life in that he was interned in a Nazi concentration camp for several years and managed to survive. Upon his release, he built a strong international reputation for his works and was became well known for his original print works.
This work is signed, and numbered, in pencil, from an edition of 95. The work enjoys a very limited printing. It is framed, under glass. Printed circa 1970.
