A charming painting that captures a clustered arrangement of buildings, their rooftops stepping gently across the composition in a rhythmic, almost conversational way, executed in oil onto canvas and dated 1974.

Balconies, chimneys, and terraces overlap in a layered architectural tapestry, while a softly rendered tree in the foreground adds a sense of life and movement. The scene feels intimate and still, suggestive of a warm afternoon where time slows and light lingers.

Executed in a distinctly mid-century modern style, the work leans toward a stylised realism with subtle abstraction. Forms are simplified and slightly geometric, yet retain enough detail to anchor the scene in familiarity.
