What I appreciate most about this pair is the quality of the carving. Many decorative lamps of this type read as rustic from a distance, but in person these have a much more refined presence. The openwork carving creates beautiful shadow lines, and the warm finish highlights the details. They have enough scale to anchor a console, sideboard, or pair of end tables while still feeling welcoming rather than formal. They are the kind of lamps that quietly add richness to a room and seem as though they have always belonged there.
