A monumental, festive narrative masterpiece of Indian textile art, alive with hand-loomed texture, ancestral symbolism, and reflective mirror work. This spectacular large-scale tapestry is a brilliant cultural window into the rich folk-art traditions of Gujarat in Western India. Masterfully hand-embroidered by artisan group hands over a durable cotton canvas base, the central narrative panel features an enchanting ceremonial parade. The iconography honors regional folklore with beautifully stylized representations of majestic elephants carrying royal howdahs, highly detailed horses, native desert birds, and ancestral trees of life bursting forth with geometric leaves.
The central narrative field is framed by multiple decorative borders showcasing intricate chain-stitch and herringbone embroidery techniques. Embedded throughout the complex embroidery patterns are dozens of hand-cut shisha (glass mirrors). These small mirrors are individually wrapped in tightly secured thread casings, designed to catch and dance with the ambient light of a room while acting as a traditional protective charm. To preserve its impressive 5.5-foot vertical presence and intricate fringe detailing, the tapestry has been mounted onto a heavy structural plexiglass backing panel, transforming a magnificent heritage textile into a floating, modern piece of architectural wall art. It functions as a magnificent, high-texture focal masterpiece to bring visual soul to an entry hall gallery, a formal living space, or a bold dining room layout.

Please note that both the heritage textile frame and the modern plexiglass backing panel purposefully display honest blemishes, surface scuff marks, and signs of structural handling over the years. These markings reflect its unique utilitarian narrative and are considered normal characteristics of an authentic, large-scale found object. less
