Standing 16 inches tall, the vessels gently rounded form carries the quiet confidence of Danish modernism. Hand-painted circular motifs in sienna and misted blue drift across an ivory ground, evoking the horizon lines and muted landscapes of the Baltic coast. Backhausens work captures the meeting point of art and nature, where geometry softens into gesture and glaze becomes atmosphere. Her pieces for Søholm embody the Nordic spirit of craftrestrained, tactile, and deeply humantransforming simple earthenware into an object of meditative beauty. Condition: Great vintage condition. The underside bears the artists painted signature, Soholm factory stamp, impressed Handmade mark, and model number 3233. See less
