Two, seated King Charles Spaniels with painted and gilded detail throughout over glossy white ceramic: the suggestion of a chain leash, and worn gold collar with a lock. Expressive glass eyes and pronounced red lips are the finishing touches on these low-maintenance companions. Patina as expected from age and handling with much of the gilt lost; crazing of the ceramic adds another layer of texture and intrigue.
