Etched into the frame is an elegant, scrolling floral motif like iris that is interrupted by a few cracks and areas of wear which give authentic patina to the design. Around the mirror plate is a contrasting beaded trim of gold gilt darkened over time to a bronze tone. There is just one spot of dark foxing in the glass, likely the mirror plate is a 20th century replacement that offers a clear reflection to brighten up any room; this gorgeous mirror will be right at home in many decorating tastes.
