A glorious six-light Neoclassical giltwood chandelier from 19th century France. This beautiful antique fixture is made of a slender wood column which has been finely hand-carved with foliate, rope, and gadrooned motifs typical of the Louis XVI style, as it tapers and swells into the candle arms. Six arms of acanthus decoration rise up to faux candles for candelabra-base bulbs over a carved tassel finial underneath; the lustrous gold gilt finish creates a warm ambience in any setting.
