Ranging from petite 3-inch rings to generous 6–7-inch pedestals, these stands represent the full vocabulary of Chinese scholar's table and display culture — the quiet, essential objects that elevate everything they hold.
The collection includes turned plain-ring stands, pierced cloud-and-scroll skirt stands, lotus-carved footed stands, a distinctive ruyi-scroll display easel, a low bowl-form stand, and one exceptional open carved collar ring. Woods range from deep ebonized hongmu to warm reddish-brown rosewood tones, likely huali or padauk. Several pieces show beautiful age patina and hand-finishing consistent with early-to-mid 20th century or earlier Chinese export craftsmanship.
