Up for sale is a beautiful, highly collectible limited-edition offset lithograph titled "The Concord Bridge" by the renowned American folk artist Pat Buckley Moss (P. Buckley Moss).
This piece is hand-signed and individually numbered 63/1000, making it a very early strike from a highly sought-after, completely sold-out edition.
Historical Significance:
The artwork depicts the historic Old North Bridge in Concord, Massachusetts. This iconic location is famous as the site of the Battle of Concord on April 19, 1775, which marked the opening day of the American Revolutionary War. It is here that colonial minutemen stood their ground against British forces and fired the famous "shot heard 'round the world," making this print a deeply meaningful piece of early American history.
Vintage 1990s Release:
This limited-edition piece was originally published in 1993. It beautifully documents the historic Old North Bridge landscape prior to the major 2005 National Park Service preservation and structural reconstruction, making it a wonderful snapshot of the bridge's 20th-century footprint. Moss's iconic style shines here through the tranquil watercolor tones, playful children, a canoe, and her signature white swan.
